so sad =(

It's fall. I like fall. But I don't like Fall in Wyoming. There are no sugar maples here so I don't get the bright red leaves. Oh well, I guess I can just look at pictures of fall back in MI!!

shelf update

That thing weights a TON! My arms are sore from trying to get it hung up but I couldn't find the 2x4's and there are 8 ( yes EIGHT) holes in my wall. I give you. It's up to Hubby now. I'll make him do it in the morning. .... Now BACK to True Value to buy something to fix the wholes......

vegatable pasta sauce

Yay! it's everyone's ( ok, my kids') favorite food, Spaghetti!
If your kids are anything like mine, they LOVE vegetables.  ( lol Mine really do) But they Love Spaghetti even more.  I like to mix it up so that we aren't using a straight tomato sauce. As you can see this is what we have for dinner tonight!

This sauce has tomato sauce, zucchini,  garlic, onions, cauliflower, carrots, parsley, pepper and rosemary . You can put whatever you want in it. I just used what was in the fridge. You can add meat if you want but WAIT until you are warming the sauce.

Toss it all in your handy blender and blend!! I use ice breaker and then puree.
It won't be a nice red color. Don't worry, since you are adding other veggies it takes on their colors.
Let your kids try it

and ta da!! You are ready to warm it up!  Add it to whatever pasta you like and you are ready to go!

New kitchen shelf!!

Araya and I painted it blue while Noah was at school.  and then we added a dark green to give it an aged look and sanded it down in some spots so the wood shows through.
Dustin and Noah hammered the spoons for me and we bent them over for hooks. =) I used cement epoxy to them to stick them on!
I'm going to hang it in the kitchen to put all our tea/coffee/coca stuff on!
